Tommy Guyer

Tommy and Romeo Besides being the proprietor of "Tommy's Zoo and Stables", Tommy Guyer is an experienced, professional horse trainer!

Tommy's main goals are to produce a well-trained, well-mannered, content horse, and a very satisfied client. He first develops a strong bond of trust with each horse he trains. Tommy really enjoys a challenge; in addition to teaching the basics of ground manners, handling, and riding, he'll work to resolve any undesirable habit, issue, or behavioral flaw a horse has developed. He retrains horses that have had previous training with holes or mistakes in it. His training specialties are in riding discipline, breaking old or bad habits, and trick training.

Yes, Trick Training! Would you like your horse to be able to do cool tricks for fun and show? More and more people are realizing the rewards of having a horse that can do tricks -- and the horses really seem to enjoy performing for their owner and/or bigger audiences. Like anyone, horses love attention and applause! Tommy Guyer specializes in training horses to do special tasks, including counting, answering "yes/no" questions, bowing, giving kisses, and jumping into your truckbed; if there is a special trick that you would like your horse to learn, just ask Tommy!

Tommy also offers a thorough follow-up instructional session with the horse's owners, to teach them what he has done and to encourage them to maintain the training he has put into their horse. As part of his "Train the Client" philosophy, Tommy encourages his human clients to stop in to see how their horses are progressing during the training sessions.

Lynn Swanson has been involved with animals her entire life growing up on a farm in Nowthen (Anoka), Minnesota. From the age of six to nineteen she was very actively involved in 4-H showing dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, swine, horses and cats. Though her love has always been for horses, animals will always hold a very special spot in her heart.

As a youth Lynn showed in the WSCA in gaming events for a couple years until a very close friend introduced her into the reining horse industry. Once she seen what these amazing horses were capable of she was instantly hooked. She showed for three years as a youth under the coach of Judi Hale of Hale’s Quarters in Corcoran, MN.

After that she attended college at the University of Wisconsin River Falls as an equine major. As a college student she was on the Intercollegiate Horse Showing Association team and competed for the college showing horses against other colleges. Lynn was assigned a colt to train in the Colts-in-Training class two different years. While a student in the class she was also the go-to girl if anyone was having any troubles with their two year olds being she had already started many colts under the guidance of Larry Kasten.

As a college student Lynn was given a great opportunity to work at an amazing horse facility, Sally Broten Horse Company. There she was the assistant trainer to Annette Baker, starting colts for Sally Broten, Sally Brown, Buck Hazeldine, and many others. Sally Broten is one of the top Non-Pro riders in the nation in the NRHA and she raises top bred horses. Lynn has ridden horses like Rio Dun Good, Mega Ditto, Self Shine, Moonstone Dun It and Mega Jax.

The summer of 2005 after graduating UW-RF with a Bachelors Degree of Animal Science, Lynn moved to the middle of Wisconsin to train under Kim Diercks of Coloma, WI. Kim also graduated from UW-RF and is one of the top trainers in the upper Midwest in the NRHA. She worked there for seven months with the responsibility of the two year old stock and a two futurity prospects. Working for Kim was a great experience that she will never forget.
